Marriage is a Civil Right and a Grace for all....
As your Ventura Wedding Officiant Gay Wedding Officiant, I have a personal moral and spiritual commitment to the value and significance of marriage.
Marriage is a vital social and spiritual institution. As the exclusive commitment of two individuals to each other, marriage nurtures love, trust and mutual support; it brings stability to our society. For those who choose to marry, and for their children, if any, marriage provides an abundance of legal, financial, social and spiritual benefits. In return, it imposes weighty legal, financial, and social obligations. Without question, marriage enhances the “welfare of the community.” It is a “social institution of the highest importance.”
Marriage also bestows enormous private and social advantages on those who choose to marry. Marriage is at once a deeply personal commitment to another human being, and a highly public celebration of the ideals of mutuality, companionship, intimacy, fidelity, spirituality and family.
Because it fulfills yearnings for security, safe haven, community and spiritual connection that express our common humanity, marriage is an esteemed institution, and the decision whether and whom to marry is among life’s momentous acts of self-definition and spiritual development. It is, undoubtedly, for these concrete reasons, as well as for its intimately personal significance, that marriage has long been termed a civil right.***
As your Ventura Wedding Officiant and Gay Marriage Officiant, I see marriage as a grace God has given to all humankind for the well-being of the entire human family....Marriage is a sacred union: (click) "You Are My Soul" ! (Rumi)
Marriage involves a unique commitment between two people, to love/care for and support each other for the rest of their lives. The sacrificial love that unites the couple sustains them in union with the divine as one, and as faithful and responsible members of the community of faith, as well as the wider community.
“In civil law, marriage is a contract that recognizes the rights and obligations of the married couple in society. As a Ventura Wedding Officiant and Oxnard Wedding Officiant standing in the Reformed tradition (Presbyterian Church,USA), marriage is also a covenant in which God has an active part, and which the community of faith publicly witnesses and acknowledges."
As your Ventura Wedding Officiant, an ordained minister of The Presbyterian Church (USA), I am authorized, though not required, to act as an agent of the civil jurisdiction, as well as aid in recording the marriage contract with the CA county in which you applied for a license. **
